昨年秋に続き2度目の訪問です。前回訪問した時の印象が良かったので再訪問しました。 駅近くの商業ビル1階に入っているお店なので最初はあまり期待しませんでしたが、食べたもの全て美味しかったです。 メニューはあまり多くありませんが、注文した料理全て美味しかったです。本日注文したのは、ワカメサラダ、刺身5種盛、蛤の酒蒸し、長芋の漬物、金目鯛の煮付け。締めは金目鯛の煮付けをおかずに白いご飯をいただきました。 前回はお客さんも多く賑わっていましたが、今回はコロナの影響か客は帰るまで私たちを含めて3組だけでした。 ホットペッパーで予約できるのも便利ですね。

揚げたてのアジフライをランチでいただきました。 肉厚、揚げたてアツアツで美味しかったです。 提供まで少しタイムラグがあるので、突き出しが出てきます。 ミックスフライはアジフライとカキフライでした。牡蠣はしっかり濃い目の味で美味しかったです。 オタフクソースみたいなのとタルタルソースが付いてきましたが、よくある普通のソースだったので、特徴あるソースで食べてみたかったです。アジフライは塩で食べても美味しいフライでした。

*NOTE: They accept credit cards here.* While in Japan, I found myself in a frequent dilemma when it came to choosing meals, because I did not want to spend my limited yen when I had a major credit card I could've used instead. Unfortunately, many merchants and businesses still prefer cash, which slowly chipped away at my finances, leaving me to use convenience stores that accepted plastic. This place, Umiichi, is one godsend of a Japanese dining establishment that accepted credit cards, so I ate here for dinner twice. The fish was fresh - which is a genuinely surprising quality about a restaurant that's ~3 miles removed from the Port of Numazu, where one would assume renown restaurants there would have the freshest catch. Additionally, the fully-cooked dishes are pleasant as well, but may seem costly for the small portion. You pay for quality fish and dishes here, which some may feel is not a very good value-per-price proposition when a dish consisting of a few bites can cost upwards of 2,000 yen, but if you're paying with credit cards, it really depends on the exchange rate. Give it a try.
