★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good/filling food for the price with an attentive staff. They offer an English menu if you don't want to stress over that.
We were getting our toddler into the stroller in the rain after our meal and one of the guys held an umbrella over my head and said to keep the umbrella. He declined when I tried to give it back and said "you need it more than I do".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grilled fish set meals are small portions. You'll need to order more to feel full. Average grilled fishes, I can do better. Only the miso soup stands out. Not worth taking pics. CASH only.

Sashimi seemed to be cut randomly and didn't have much taste/weren't very good.
Eel set was barebone and every single plate was slightly disappointing. The room is nice, having to see without shoes crossing your legs is nice but that was the only good point I kept from this place unfortunately.
Spent 2,500¥ and still went to the supermarket nearby after to have something more to eat

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rude service. I came at about 6:45 on Saturday when the restaurant was busy, but not full. Rather than asking me if I could wait or providing me any hospitality whatsoever, they just shooed me away. Pretty poor form for a restaurant with a 3.9 score on Google (which now just got a little bit lower).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for lunch around 11am. Place filled up quite quickly after that. We had the tofu special and the vegetable tempura. Good food, quick service and sufficient amount. Seating is on tatami mats, so take of your shoes and cross those legs.
One point I must say, the male waiter was by far the most unfriendly Japanese I have seen in my two weeks here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy local teishoku restaurant with no-frills, authentic style. Food quality and flavor is quite good for the price. This is delicious and affordable enough to use for daily dining. I could see coming here 3-4 times a week with no problem. Cash only.
