★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 忍熊皇子社は、押熊八幡神社の隣に御鎮座される奮蹟地です。神社というより陵墓のような感じです。現地の石柱には「麛坂王子・忍熊王子」と表記。ご当地の押熊町はこの王子の名前に由来しているのですね。
忍熊皇子（おしくまのみこ）は、14代仲哀天皇と大中姫命との間に生まれた御子ですが、仲哀天皇は神功皇后を皇后とされたので、忍熊皇子が邪魔となり交戦して自殺に追い込む結果となりました。
神功皇后が産んだ御子が誉田別命（応神天皇）となるわけで、この忍熊皇子社が押熊八幡神社のすぐ隣にあることが不思議というか、何か意図があるのか不明です。
両神社が初めからここにあったか、またその史実は何かも分かりませんが、考えさせられる神社ではあります。社頭に詳しい由緒書きがありますが、劣化が激しくほとんど読み取れません。何とか新しくしてほしいと思いました。
 Shinobukuma Prince Shrine is a shrine that is enshrined next to Oshikuma Hachiman Shrine. It's more like a tomb than a shrine. "Prince Kagosaka / Prince Oshikuma" is written on the local stone pillar. The town of Oshikuma here is derived from the name of this prince.
Prince Oshikuma is a child born between the 14th Emperor Chuai and Himeji Ohnaka, but since Emperor Chuai was empressed by Empress Jingu, Prince Oshikuma was in the way and engaged in battle. As a result, I was forced to commit suicide.
The son born by Empress Jingu will be the emperor Ojin, so it is strange that this Prince Oshikuma is right next to Oshikuma Hachiman Shrine, or if there is any intention.
I don't know if both shrines were here from the beginning, and what the historical facts are, but they are thought-provoking shrines. There is a detailed historical note in the head of the company, but it deteriorates so much that it can hardly be read. I wanted you to make a new one somehow.
