中央に1本線路がある。
開業は昭和53年 1978年。
駅を出ると、その周辺が窪地だとわかる。
駅前にはコンビニ ドラッグストアがあり、
少し離れた所にはスーパーもある。
意外と便利だと感じた。
ファストフードやビジネスホテルは無い。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 市川動植物公園の最寄り駅です。大宮駅から９時１２分発の快速しもうさ号を利用すると埼京線利用なら武蔵浦和、京浜東北線利用なら南浦和乗り換えですが、そんな心配をせずに一本で行けます。しかし、編成が８両なので少し短いですので京浜東北線の先頭位置より少し後ろにいたほうがいいです。ちなみに３番線乗り場になります。
It is the nearest station to Ichikawa Zoo and Botanical Park. If you use the Rapid Shimosa train departing from Omiya Station at 9:12, you can transfer to Musashi Urawa if you use the Saikyo Line, or Minami Urawa if you use the Keihin Tohoku Line, but you can go by one without worrying about that. However, since the formation is 8 cars, it is a little short, so it is better to be a little behind the beginning position of the Keihin Tohoku Line. By the way, it will be the platform for track 3.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 市川動植物公園の最寄り駅です。(距離は２キロありません)土日にはそちらまでバスの運行があります。改札を抜けて前にバス停があります。高架を抜けて左へ曲がるとタクシー乗り場になります。周囲にはNEWDAYS。デイリーヤマザキ。薬の福太郎くらいしかありません。
