生活保護費の盗難容疑事件や窓口での収納金の不適切な取り扱いなどの不祥事を受け、鎌倉市は２２日、延べ４７人を懲戒処分や行政措置処分にしたと発表した。対象者は部長級３人、次長級１０人、課長級４人などで、懲戒内容は停職２人、減給６人、戒告３人となっている。最も重い停職６カ月を受けたのは５０代の生活福祉課男性職員で、生活保護費の受給資格がなくなった人について手続きを取らず、支給された金を同課の棚に放置したことで盗難の要因を作ったとした。その際、偽の領収書を作成したなどとして有印私文書偽造容疑で告訴されている。事件では棚で保管していた現金計２６７万円が盗まれ、同課の３０代男性職員も停職１カ月となった。このほか窓口で住民票の写しを交付する際に過大徴収した現金を預かり金として保管していた不適切処理や、通勤手当の不適正受給などがあったという。松尾崇市長は「事態を重く受け止めており、信頼回復に全力を注ぐ」と述べ、１２月議会に自らの減給を求める条例改正案を提出する方針を示した。朝日新聞デジタル2016.12.23引用。
