★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here based in a michellin recommendation, and oh my god was i impressed, flavor was AMAZING. If i had known about this earlier i would've come here at least once everyday in osaka. Staff were fantastic and restaurant had a great atmosphere. Highly recommend this to anyone who likes good food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After waited for 5min inside and no one came to take care of, finally got seated after another 15min wait and not after 5 mins the table next to us starts smoking, all other people including us started to cough because of the smell, at the same time some one waiting opened the door kept the freezing wind blow inside for 10min. Although the wine is nice, l’ve lost most of the appetite.
It’s probably good for people who are used to smoking and waiting, I haven’t met a lot of restaurants in Japan work this way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cosy little okonomiyaki joint with funky music and plenty of choice. They use more cabbage than flour which makes, in my opinion, the more easy to eat. There is a comprehensive English menu that offers all different kinds of food and drink.
This place is priced reasonably well considering the ingredients and the serving sizes. My girlfriend couldn't even finish one to herself!

This was the last restaurant that I visited during my first trip to Osaka 5 years ago. The restaurant came highly recommended and as such I had very high expectations when I visited.
Those expectations were met and exceeded by quite a bit.
The talented chefs prepare the okonomiyakis at their cooking stations behind the counter and finish the critical part of the cooking process. Once delivered to the built in hot pan on the table, what remains is to simply add the right okonomiyaki sauce, mayo, and any additional personal preferences such as seaweed or bonito flakes.
A similar process happens with the yakisobas, they are prepared by the chefs and delivered to the hot pan on the table to finish the garnishing process.
Be warned that once you have eaten the okonomiyaki at Omoni you will find yourself unconsciously comparing all other okonomiyakis to Omoni's.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really tasty okonomiyaki, particularly the sauce. Was recommended by a local and this place hit the spot. Portions are reasonable and so is the price. The okonomiyaki is cooked in the kitchen and finished at your table. Service wasn’t at all attentive but we enjoyed the food. They have English menus too.
