伯	伯鷺幸鷹 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ここは幕末に起きた『天狗党事件』に関わり、ついには斬首された、攘夷志士たちの処刑場跡のひとつです。（※この他にも数ヵ所あり）幕末の頃、ペリーの黒船来航により江戸徳川幕府が揺れ動くなか、水戸藩内では９代藩主徳川斉昭による尊王攘夷の思想が活発化し、多くの攘夷志士を生み出しました。しかし、開国を選択し生き残りを図る幕府方、大老井伊直助によって尊王攘夷派の頭目とされた徳川斉昭は処罰されます。（安政の大獄）これに反発した水戸藩内攘夷派志士は天狗党を結成、桜田門外の変など、各地で過激な事件をおこし始めます。筑波山での挙兵、京都への撤退行軍を経て、最終的には降伏した天狗党の末期は悲惨のひと言に尽きます。死罪が３５２人。島流しが１３７人。水戸藩渡しが１３０人。（ちなみに安政の大獄での死罪は８人）この六萬神社は、かつての古戦場跡地の六萬坂において、処刑された天狗党の攘夷志士を鎮めるために建立されたものです。 This is one of the sites of the execution grounds for the Tsuneishis who had been decapitated after being involved in the "Tengu Party Case" that occurred at the end of the Edo period.
