中	中村中 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 郡区編制法により明治11(1978)年12月、碓氷郡役所(うすいぐんやくしょ)が設置されて現在地に明治21(1888)年に移転した。火災により焼失し現在の建物は明治44(1911)年9月20日竣工したもので、大正15(1926)年7月1日に郡役所が廃止になってからも様々な機関が使用し続けた結果、貴重な建物が残された。郡役所がそのまま残されていることがとても貴重である。道を隔てて同志社大学創始者･新島襄所縁の基督教礼拝堂がある。 According to the Township Organization Law, the Usui District Office was established in December 1978 and moved to its current location in 1888. The current building, which was burnt down by a fire, was completed on September 20, 1911, and has been used by various organizations even after the county office was abolished on July 1, 1926. As a result, a valuable building was left behind. It is very valuable that the county office is left as it is. Across the road, there is a Christian chapel related to the founder of Doshisha University, Joseph Hardy Neesima.
