A temple that is said to be the beginning of Hokkekyoji. It seems that it was the hall of Tsunobu Tomiki. There is also Bensaiten. There are not many people visiting and it has a quiet appearance.

The ruins of Mr. Tomiki, a vassal of Mr. Chiba during the Kamakura period. It is said that it was later called "daily life" according to Nichiren's teachings. It is a temple that can be said to be the beginning of Hokekyo-ji Temple, and is said to be the inner temple, and there are many worshipers. The main hall is a modern building, but the majesty inside is wonderful. There are many earthworks around, so it is interesting to see it as the Kamakura samurai's mansion.

You can accept the title of Okunoin. I visited for the first time in a long time. In the past, neighbors came to help and had a cup of tea in the hall while showing me pictures of Kuonji Temple in Minobu, but now it's quiet because of the corona.

It is far from Nakayama Hokekyoji Temple, and it takes 5 minutes on foot. It is said that there was a residence of Toki Jōnin, and that this area was the entrance to Tokyo Bay. It is a dojo for the Lotus Sutra mission. There is a statue of a daily superior who carefully carried the Lotus Sutra scripture on the premises.

Okunoin Temple at Hokekyoji Temple is said to be the place where Nichiren Saints preached for the first time. In the middle of the Kamakura period, Toki Jōnin, who served the guardian of Shimousa, Toki Jōnin, set up a building in this area called Hachimanso Wakamiya and made a round trip to and from Kamakura, where the shogunate is located. There, he happened to meet Nichiren, who was hard at missionary work, and became an avid believer. In the first year of Bunyo (1260), when Nichiren Saint was burnt in Matsubagayatsu, Kamakura, he relied on Jonin to escape the difficulties to Wakamiya. At this time, Jonin built Hokkado in the hall and welcomed Nichiren to ask for a preaching. Furthermore, Nichiren moved to Wakamiya even after being attacked by Keinobu Tojo in Komatsubara, Awa in 1264. It is said that Nichiren's preaching held at this Wakamiya Hokkado has reached 100 times. This is the reason why Nichiren's "Historic Site of the First Battle Dharmachakra" is considered. After the death of Nichiren in the 5th year of Koan (1282), Jōnin left home and called it "daily life", and Hokke-do was renamed Hokke-ji. This Hokke-ji Temple was later merged with Nakayama's Honmyoji Temple to become the Hokke-ji Temple, and the daily life became the first generation, and the Hokke-ji Temple became known as Okunoin. Even now, the soil is piled up high, and the part where the big trees are flourishing is a part of the earthworks surrounding the old mansion, and the remains of this mansion are called "Wakamiyakan ruins". Many plum trees are planted in the precincts, and it seems that white plums and red plums are in full bloom every year in early spring.
