★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 寺の施設で一部崩されたり石壁で補強されてたりはするが
鎌倉時代の城館の土塁が埋没遺跡化されずに残されてる数少ない場所
城館の敷地がそのまま寺になっている為全景が解り易いのも千葉の中世城郭遺跡としては珍しいと思われる

One of the few places where the earthworks of the Kamakura period castle are left without being buried.
Since the site of the castle is a temple as it is, it seems that it is rare for a medieval castle ruin in Chiba that the whole view is easy to understand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 奥之院の周囲に粗雑ながら土塁が見られます。若宮館の伝承は鎌倉時代に遡りますが、現在みられる土塁が当時のものか後世のものかは検証の余地があるでしょう。
You can see the earthworks around Okunoin, though it is rough. The tradition of the Wakamiyakan dates back to the Kamakura period, but there is room for verification as to whether the earthworks currently seen are those of the time or those of posterity.
