駅階段脇に普通の民家があったりする。
かつての国鉄阿仁合線と角館線の
間にある新設区間だけに、
路盤や鉄橋などはやたら新しく、高規格だが、
利用度とのアンバランスさが
何とも言えない風情を醸し出す。
