K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 特別快速停車駅とは思えない程寂しい駅です。駅舎自体は割と立派なものの、構内にあるのはキオスクだけ。また近隣にあるのは飲み屋ばかり。こんなに楽しくない、使い道の無い駅前は珍しいです。それ以外にも駅としての基本構造が全くダメです。一般車のロータリーが小さく朝や夕方は大混雑しており、一時的に停めるのすら苦労します。そこにマナーの悪い企業がマイクロバスで陣取るので最悪です。第２ロータリーがあるものの、利用者は皆無。理由は簡単で、第2ロータリーに行く方法が分かりづらくて誰も行き方を知らないのです。さらに、駐輪場が有料と無料がありますが、無料は駅から歩いて1分以内なのに対して有料の方は駅から歩いて5分ほどかかる離れた場所にあるので、お金払った方が大変という意味が分からない状態に。 2020年に大規模工事で大規模工事をして駅周辺へのアクセスを向上するデッキを作ったのですが、使っている人を見ることが珍しいです。利用者が少ない結婚式場や前述の使っている人を見たことがない第二ロータリーへの通路なので使う人がいるわけありません。仮に結婚式場に行くとしても、デッキを使うより元々あった導線の方が分かり易いので誰の為のものなのか分かりません。 It's a lonely station that you can't think of as a special rapid service station. 哲	哲学する猫 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR東海道本線と愛知環状鉄道との接続駅。名鉄バスのターミナルもあります。愛知環状鉄道もICカード対応になって、乗り換えが便利になりました。この駅で快速と普通の接続が行われますが、豊橋行きの普通はこの駅から本数が半減します。また、名古屋・岐阜方面の普通は、発着番線が列車によって変わるため、改札の電光掲示板で確認が必要です。ちなみに、岡崎城始め旧東海道沿いの古くからの市街地は名鉄東岡崎駅の方なので、この駅からは名鉄バスで20分くらいです。JR岡崎駅～名鉄東岡崎駅間は多くの系統のバスが通過するので、本数は多いです。 A connecting station between the JR Tokaido Main Line and the Aichikanjo Railway.
