★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浄土宗の寺院で、京都知恩院の末寺として、慶長三年(1598)に開基されたとのこと。
亀の台座の山内家の墓が有名で素晴らしいものでした。
石造りの亀があったがひどくあばれるので、やめさせるため、紙商人の山内忠治家がこの上に墓を築いたという伝説が残っています。
本堂閉ざされていて仏像は拝観できませんでした。
It is a temple of the Jodo sect and was opened in 1598 as the last temple of Kyoto Chion-in.
The tomb of the Yamauchi family on the turtle pedestal was famous and wonderful.
There was a stone turtle, but it was so badly exposed that there is a legend that the paper merchant Tadashi Yamauchi built a tomb on it to stop it.
The main hall was closed and I couldn't see the Buddha statue.
