昔むかし、源平合戦の折り、屋島の戦いで扇を的にして射落とした
弓の達人那須与一が信夫山よりこの石を的にして射ったる、云々と書いてある
その岩の中にはやじりが折れて入ってるという。

４Ｋｍも離れた信夫山からこの石を射った弓の達人那須与一なる人物一体何者？
それも、岩の中に矢が入る程の威力で射った那須与一
是非、オリンピックに出て欲しかった…(^^;;
この石の上に御幣束を立て、御来光を仰ぎ諸々の祈願をしたと言います！
日照りの年には近郷の人がここに集まり、雨乞いの儀式もお行ってたらしく
この石はきっと霊場の役割を
