A unique castle that designed the moat like a maze and tried to destroy the enemy. Perhaps it is a peculiarity that can only be found here. A high earthwork with a wave higher than Yokoya, where you can't see the tip. The height is close to 10m. This extraordinary amount of civil engineering is a skill that can be done by a castle on the border, but Satake's involvement is suspected. There is also an outer moat, and it will be fun to visit there as well.

It's an old hotel, so let's discount it. All-you-can-scow natto is very delicious. The size of the grains is Okame Natto, but the taste that the beans claim more. The grilled salmon had a light taste and this was good.

It's a forest, so you can't see it from the outside, but once you step in, you'll see a huge empty moat. It's hard to see such a deep moat in Kanto. When you climb the earthworks surrounding the main building in the back and look into the empty moat, it is so high that you feel dangerous. It's dangerous, so don't imitate it. .. .. The bushes are so amazing that I can't walk around all the Guo, but Kubori is worth a visit anyway.

It is built on a plateau covered with forests in Ibaraki Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, where the rural landscape spreads. I visited the castle with expectation because it is a castle that is often featured in castle-related books, but when I actually saw the real thing, it was a masterpiece. An empty moat with a height of 10 to 20 meters is carved into the plateau like a maze. The amount of civil engineering was amazing.

It is a masterpiece of an earthen castle that is highly evaluated by castle enthusiasts, as it is said, "Don't talk about the Sengoku castle in Kanto without looking here." It can only be said that the appearance of the huge "earthworks" that stand up at a steep angle and reach a height of 10m and spread over the entire field of view is "overwhelming". You can feel the intimidation and dignity of the castle as a "weapon". I can't express it well, but it's not a distant archaeological site, but Obata Castle feels "still alive" as a weapon as a castle. As a castle, it is a so-called "border castle" that was built as a pure military fortress at the forefront of the border where the forces of Edo, Oda, and Otsu are competing, not as an administrative or economic center. Therefore, the surrounding area is paddy fields, and there is almost no cohesive flat land, and there is no space to create a castle town. Thanks to this, we have not been involved in land development for posterity and have been preserved in good condition. Mr. Hitachi Edo, who is said to have finally finished the castle in its current form, is a prestigious lord whose ancestor was Hidesato Fujiwara, a guardian general who was active in the settlement of the Masakado turbulence. .. He has a strong kinship with the neighboring Mr. Satake, and although he obeyed during the Warring States period, he was given the "family-like" family character, and he was violently attacking Mr. Otsu in the south as a semi-independent force. Obata Castle is believed to have been strengthened as its frontline base. After that, Mr. Edo made a fatal misjudgment and was destroyed. With the help of Mr. Hojo when Toyotomi Hideyoshi conquered Odawara, he took an opportunistic action to maintain neutrality without sending soldiers to Hideyoshi. On the other hand, Mr. Satake, who clearly sided with Hideyoshi and got the approval of 210,000 pieces of Hitachi Province, set out to eliminate Mr. Edo who had long wanted to smoke without hearing what he said. It is believed that Obata Castle was also under the control of Mr. Satake at this time, although there is no direct data as it went south to seize Mito Castle, which is the base of the castle, and also caused the surrounding castles to fall. There is a theory that the advanced structure may have changed to what it is today during the Satake clan rule, but I don't think so. This is because Mr. Satake went south at a stretch to destroy Mr. Ohsui, and the front line went down to the area around Kashima, and there was little reason to strengthen Obata Castle, which is no longer a "castle on the border". Also, Mr. Satake, a frugal person, has a reluctant impression of the construction of the occupied territory (laughs).

I think it is one of the top medieval castles in Kanto as well as Ibaraki prefecture. Please have a look, this super magnificent sky moat! In fact, I don't think there are many castle ruins to visit while walking along the bottom of the moat. Not only castle and history fans, but also other people will be overwhelmed by the sculpting of the soil that makes you think "What is this!". It is a castle that you definitely want to visit (^ 〇 ^) /

There is a parking lot. You can't see it from the outside, but when you go inside, you can see a huge earthwork and a deep digging road. The earthworks are too high to see ahead, and there are multiple roads, making it a maze-like structure. It's a castle that specializes in killing super-practical enemies. As with the main enclosure, the earthworks of Nikoku are very high, and it seems that it was regarded as an important point as well as the main enclosure. There are many unknown parts about the historical background of this castle. When Mr. Edo advanced to the south of Hitachi, he emphasized it as a castle on the border with Mr. Oda and Mr. Otsu, who are hostile to him.

It didn't turn completely for the first time, but it's rich in nature and quiet ?? Somewhat like a forest bath There is such a place nearby ? It may be different from your imagination, but if you follow the bill, well ? Honmaru is in the center ? There is also a shrine in another back ⛩️ I wonder if there is history for the time being ? I'm not sure But it is certainly recommended to bring a guardian for small children In addition, the clothes should be as protective as possible and easy to move, and the green is deep and insect bites are a little ?? You can get a foothold because you walk a lot. Also, even in the daytime, it gets dim as you go deeper. be careful
