福野側の入口から林道に入って百メートルも進むと、2019年の台風と大雨による倒木群で進路を塞がれます。スギ林の中を、オフローダーが迂回したと思われる轍の跡がありますが、一雨降るとかなりぬかるんで、徒歩でも足元をすくわれます。福野側の林道入口と福野地区とを結ぶ生活道路には、房総では珍しくない手掘り隧道(福野隧道(仮称))があります。＜2020年8月更新＞久留里側の入口からアプローチしました。北向地蔵尊の分岐から本線を進んでいくと、落石の跡が確認されます。しかし、通行の妨げとなっていたと思われる倒木の殆どが伐採撤去されていました。最も被害状況が酷かった福野側出口近くの倒木と土砂崩れも、同様に倒木部分については伐採撤去されていました。崩れた土砂はまだ残っていましたが、徒歩で問題なく通れるようになっていました。暑い中を復旧に尽力いただいた方々に感謝です。

After entering the forest road from the entrance on the Fukuno side for 100 meters, the path will be blocked by the fallen trees caused by the typhoon and heavy rain in 2019. There are traces of ruts that seem to have been bypassed by the offloader in the Japanese cedar forest, but it gets quite muddy after a single rain, and I can scoop my feet on foot. On the living road that connects the forest road entrance on the Fukuno side and the Fukuno district, there is a hand-digging tunnel (Fukuno Tunnel (tentative name)) that is not rare in Boso. I approached from the Kururi side entrance. If you continue on the main line from the branch of Kitakomu Jizoson, you can see the remains of rock fall. However, most of the fallen trees, which seemed to have obstructed passage, had been cleared. The fallen trees and landslides near the Fukuno side exit, where the damage was most severe, were also felled. The collapsed earth and sand still remained, but I was able to walk through it without any problems. We would like to thank all the people who helped us recover in the heat.
