★ ★ ★ ★ ★ コースもとても整備されているので安心して歩けます。小湊鉄道を発着に市民の森も含めコースがいろいろです。野生の猿に会う事も度々です。
The course is very well maintained so you can walk with peace of mind. There are various courses starting from Kominato Railway, including the citizen's forest. I often meet wild monkeys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 展望台として、周囲を見渡せるのは良いのですが、木が邪魔で360度のパノラマ風景は期待できません。
しかし、晴れたら遠くまで見通せる部分もあるので、行って損は無いと思います。
但し、駐車場は‥見当たらなかったので、要注意かもしれません。
As an observatory, it's nice to be able to see the surroundings, but you can't expect a 360-degree panoramic view because of the trees.
However, if it's sunny, there are some parts that you can see far away, so I think there is no loss in going there.
However, I couldn't find the parking lot, so be careful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 市原市では一番高い場所。冬場は木々に葉がないのでそこそこ眺望が望めますが、無機質な展望台なのでわざわざここを目指して来るほどの場所ではありません。
車で来るには道は狭いし、歩いてここにきてしまったのなら山頂を超えて柳川方面に抜けるか、大福院の横の林道を歩いて大久保、月崎を目指すなど長距離ハイキングに挑戦する方が良いかもしれません。
(体力勝負。2022.3 梅ヶ瀬ルートが復活しました。紅葉・新緑のシーズンは迷わず梅ヶ瀬を目指しましょう。）
眺望は東と西は全く見えません。南は良く見えます、北は半分ぐらい。鳥の声を聴きたい人、風を感じたい人、一人でぼうっとしたい人には良い場所です。展望台の下のベンチ付近はアリの巣があるので山蛭は出なそうです。この付近の眺望ならクォードの森の展望台（月崎）や御十八夜（米沢の森）、笠森観音（長南町）のほうがくつろげる分快適です。トイレがすぐ近くにありますが、梅ヶ瀬渓谷駐車場のトイレの方が広くて快適です。
※ほかの方の画像に見る老朽化のため立ち入り禁止の札はありません。修繕されたようには見えませんが、多分倒壊しないでしょう。
The highest place in Ichihara city. In winter, there are no leaves on the trees, so you can get a decent view, but since it is an inorganic observatory, it is not a place to go all the way to here.
The road is narrow to come by car, and if you come here on foot, you can go over the mountaintop toward Yanagawa, or walk along the forest road next to Daifukuin and head for Okubo and Tsukizaki for long-distance hikes. It may be better to try.
(Physical fitness match. 2022.3 Umegase route has been revived. Let's aim for Umegase without hesitation during the autumn leaves and fresh green season.)
The view is completely invisible to the east and west. The south looks good, the north is about half. It's a good place for those who want to hear the voice of birds, feel the wind, or just want to be drowsy alone. There is an ant's nest near the bench under the observatory, so it seems that leeches will not appear. For a view of this area, the Quad Forest Observatory (Tsukizaki), Gojuhachiya (Yonezawa Forest), and Kasamori Kannon (Chonan Town) are more comfortable. Toilets are nearby, but the ones in the Umegase Ravine parking lot are larger and more comfortable.
* There is no off-limits tag due to aging seen in other people's images. It doesn't look like it's been repaired, but it probably won't collapse.

展望台はちょっと朽ちてきてます。
自治体の財政も厳しいですから、あと数年で廃止されてしまうかもしれません。
今のうちに行っておかないと！
...って、付近では道路の新設まっただなかです。お金はあるのかな。
道路脇にトイレありますが、水は出ないみたいです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited here in 2 weeks from a big typhoon.
A lot of trees are falling down. Trails are also broken still the observatory tower was accessible. Very easy to come here on foot from the free parking near by. Really feeling like in the middle of nature. Quiet and relaxing are. However, don’t be too relaxed. Watch for leeches, they are so tiny but everywhere. Sneaking up to your skin and will eat your blood while you don’t know it. My kids good them stick to their skin and one of them got bite over her sock.
