★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Get ready to be rushed and pressured by the owner. This is not meant to be a meditative experience. This is understandable because even when rushed it still took us over 3 hours. Go in mentally prepared to give up on details and perfection. Definitely worth the trip, the pieces we made were the best souvenirs from our entire trip to Japan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I had so much fun indigo dyeing here! The host and his mother were extremely welcoming and we had a great time creating amazing patterns with them. Our shirt and noren came out incredible! A definite must do in Kyoto!
