ダム湖周辺は公園になっていて桜の季節からは賑やかになります。
ダムは山間地にあるところがほとんどですが、
ここは新幹線も止まる郡山駅から10Km位、上流には田村市がある市街地に近いダムだと思います。
It is used for drinking water, agriculture, industrial water supply and flood control of the Abukuma River.
The area around Dam Lake is a park and it becomes lively from the cherry blossom season.
Dams are mostly in mountainous areas,
I think this is a dam near the city center where Tamura city is located about 10 km from Koriyama station where the Shinkansen stops.
