★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 富山県の山間に、八尾(やつお)という美しく静かな古い街があります。初秋の風が吹くころに迎えるお祭り「風の盆」は、繊細で哀愁に満ちた幻想的な美しさに包まれます。
それは、日本の他のお祭りの様に勇しくも華やかでもない慎ましいもので、全く異質なお祭りです。
日本の古くから伝わるお祭りでは唯一、胡弓が使われ、奏でる旋律は誰しもに遙かな昔を思い出させます。
唄は、四季の自然のほかに恋の歌も多く、それも若者だけでなく、年老いた夫婦が相手を想う歌など、心を温めてくれる唄です。
胡弓や三味線が奏でるしらべと唄に合わせて踊る「おわら」は、おんな踊りはしなやかで僅かに艶っぽく、おとこ踊りも繊細さの中にシャープなキレと力強さを感じさせます。
八尾の美しい自然と、夜のとばりに包まれた古い街並み。

おとこ踊りとおんな踊り。
これら全てが一つに調和した、美しく幻想的な空間の中を、三日三晩、街の人が踊り明かす。
このお店「風の盆」は普通に、海や山の幸の美味しいお店ですが、お願いすると、おわらを流してくれます。風の盆を少し感じることの出来るお店です。
