石碑が無ければ、何なのか全く判らない場所ですね???
治承4年（1180年）8月17日、伊豆に流されていた源頼朝が、源氏再興の火の手を挙げた場所です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 源頼朝が平氏に反旗を翻すにあたり、最初の標的とされた伊豆代官である山木判官兼隆の館跡である。高台にあるが、現在は私有地となっており入ることはできない。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ やはり、歴史から抹殺されてしまうのですかねぇ。源氏再興のトリガとなった屋敷襲撃という重要な位置づけの場所であるにも係わらず、屋敷跡には何も残っていないです。江川太郎左衛門の屋敷のところにある立て看板に「山木判官屋敷⇒」みたいに書いてあるのに、石碑の1つもないというのはどうかと思いますが・・・(笑)。

以仁王親王の令旨を受けた源頼朝は、治承4年(1180年)8月17日の夜、伊豆目代･平兼隆の館を襲撃しました。
折しもこの日は、三嶋大社の例大祭日であり、館を警備していた家臣達も出掛けていたため館の警備は手薄でした。
真夜中に出発した頼朝勢は、牛鍬大路を山木館に向かい、激戦の末、加藤景廉が平兼隆を討ち取り、北条館で吉報を待ち焦がれていた頼朝に知らせました。
歴史のターニングポイントである重要地点ですが、館跡を示す石碑のみしかなく残念ですが建物の痕跡は全く有りません。
この場所は、現在個人の邸宅ですので訪れる時には、注意して下さい。

Yoritomo, who departed in the middle of the night, headed for Yamakikan on Ushiho-Oji, and after a fierce battle, Katou Kagekado defeated Takashi Hirakane and informed Yoritomo, who had been waiting for good news at Hojokan.
It is an important point that is a turning point in history, but unfortunately there is no trace of the building because there is only a stone monument showing the ruins of the building.
Please be careful when visiting this place as it is currently a private residence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 源頼朝公が挙兵した折、最初に襲撃した山木館があった場所です。今は民家の一画ですが、「山木判官平兼隆館跡地」の看板をかけて頂いているので、静かにお邪魔しました。
特に遺構がある訳ではありませんが、三島神社の祭礼で館から多くの郎従が出払っている所を襲ったと云われるのがこの地と思うと、風景も違って見えます。
ただ、源頼朝公がこの地で兵を率いて実際に戦った訳ではなく、北条氏の館あたり守山八幡宮から火の手を上がるのを遠望していたと伝わっています。
This is the place where the Yamakikan that first attacked when Minamoto no Yoritomo raised his troops. It's a part of a private house now, but I was quietly disturbed by the signboard of "Judge Yamaki Hirakane Takakan Ruins".
There are no particular remains, but the scenery looks different when you think that it was said that the festival of Mishima Shrine struck a place where many servants were paying out from the hall.
However, it is said that Minamoto no Yoritomo did not actually fight with the soldiers in this area, but he was looking forward to raising the fire from Moriyama Hachimangu at the Hojo clan's mansion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 治承4年、源頼朝の命により北条勢が伊豆国目代の館を襲撃し、激戦の末に山木判官平兼隆を討ち取り平家への反旗を翻しました。山木館は江川邸や韮山城等の史跡近くの山裾にありますが、遺構は残っていなく供養塔が近くの香山寺にあるだけです。日本の歴史の大いなる転換点でしたが、滅んだ平家の土地はあっという間に源氏の御家人に分け与えられたのでしょうね。

The Yamakikan is located at the foot of the mountain near historical sites such as Egawa House and Nirayama Castle, but there are no remains and the memorial tower is only located at the nearby Kozanji Temple.
