★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北条氏ゆかりの寺院で、北条時政公のお墓があります。拝観料は700円です。2022年の大河ドラマ「鎌倉殿の13人」の放映に合わせて、限定の御朱印があります。書き置きのみです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20220218 長岡に宿泊した翌日は北条史跡巡りをしました。このお寺には運慶作国宝を始めとして素晴らしい仏像が沢山ありまくる。宝物館にある北条時政像は本やテレビでお馴染みの顔をしています。本人が納めたようです。本堂の前で大きな秋田犬が優しそうな顔をして寝そべっていました。暖かな冬の日のんびりとハイキングができました。茶々丸の墓あるのを知らないで見逃してしまいました。残念！

The statue of Tokimasa Hojo in the Treasure Museum has a familiar face in books and television. It seems that he paid it. A big Akita dog lay down in front of the main hall with a gentle face. I was able to take a leisurely hike on a warm winter day. I missed it without knowing that there was a tomb of Chachamaru. disappointing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 創建は1189年、奥州藤原氏征伐を祈願して、北条時政公が建立したというお寺。北条氏の絶大なる力を表すがごとく、大きな池がある浄土様式の壮大な寺院であったらしい。このお寺の見どころは北条時政公の墓所があること、国宝の運慶作5仏を拝観できることでしょう。外人さんの説明を聞きながら国宝を拝観するのは不思議な感じ。一体どうしてなんでしょう。とても気になります。
The temple was founded in 1189 by Tokimasa Hojo in prayer for the conquest of Mr. Fujiwara Oshu. It seems that it was a magnificent temple of the Pure Land style with a large pond, as if to show the great power of Mr. Hojo. The highlights of this temple are the graveyard of Tokimasa Hojo and the 5 Buddhas of Unkei, a national treasure. It's strange to see a national treasure while listening to a foreigner's explanation. Why on earth? I'm very worried.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大御堂は最近の建築で歴史感はありませんが、中の運慶作の仏像5体は国宝なだけあり、美しい、躍動感がある、感動します。宝物館には北条時政公像がありますが、この像を見て大河ドラマを見るのも良いと思います。
Omido is a recent building and has no historical feeling, but the five Buddha statues made by Unkei inside are only national treasures, and they are beautiful, lively and moving. There is a statue of Tokimasa Hojo in the treasure hall, but I think it is good to see this statue and watch a taiga drama.

伊豆長岡駅、もしくは韮山駅からは平坦な道を徒歩15分くらいのところです。
バスは2022年は土日祝限定の巡回バスが出ています。
中に入るとすぐに5体の仏像がお出迎えです。歴史を感じられる素晴らしい仏像だと思います。裏手に回ると宝物館があり、そちらには仏像内部にあった銘文などが展示されています。境内には北条時政と足利茶々丸の墓所もありました。
看板犬のロッキーがお出迎えしてくれます。
大河ドラマの影響で拝観客もだいぶ増えているようなのでできれば空いてる時間を見つけてゆっくり仏像を楽しむのが良いと思います。

There was also a graveyard of Tokimasa Hojo and Chachamaru Ashikaga in the precincts.

It seems that the number of spectators is increasing due to the influence of the taiga drama, so if possible, it is better to find a free time and enjoy the Buddha statue slowly.
