★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried both the standard and premium courses and both were amazing. It's surprising how many different ways these guys are able to prepare tofu! The beef maki-sushi is of course delicious, but the course dessert is the sleeper hit here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing small Restaurant in Nikko. They specialise in Yuba which is a local delicacy. Basically the curd off the top of soy milk is collected in thin sheets and used in a lot of their dishes. Absolutely delicious and a very unique experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A modern view on traditional Japanese cuisine. Everything was really delicious. The wasabi is especially fresh and tasty. Only my miso soup, though very good, was a bit cold. Definitely recommending the 2000yen menu. Great value and dessert is just fantastic!

I got the set and everything is great. The flavors are quite simple but very refreshing. The yuba roll comes with good wagyu but it is actually the side dishes that impress me the most! The cold daikon tasted very fresh, the mushrooms were good, the sweet brown yuba amazing!, but the dessert is out of this world: Better than any soy pudding I have ever had.
The space is quite intimate and tiny though so try to come at odd hours. I think it only seats 12 people at most.

This cozy and welcoming restaurant is a must-visit if ever you’re in Nikko.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We waited in line for an hour in the cold, and the heating in the restaurant was not all that either. The miso soup could have been a little warmer as well.
That being said, the food quality was amazing and the beef yuba makis with wasabi and milk are completely unique and delicious!
Highly recommended not only for a delicious lunch, but for an experience unique to Nikko.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yuba overload! It was a wonderful dining experience at 6,000 yen. I was so full at the end of it all. Worth trying. Perhaps it was lucky that we ended in this restaurant because it was the only place that was still open. I remember it was about 7-8pm. The vicinity turns into a ghost town pretty quick for a tourist destination.XD
