一	一条和弥 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 数多くある米沢の古刹のなかで、伊達。上杉などの統治以前よりもっと古い時代から鎮座する名刹です。とても静かな境内ですが、八月十四日の祭礼は勇壮な神輿渡御が行われます。ちなみに成島八幡神社の境内は成島壮という城館跡でもあり、境内を散策するとその構造を肌で感じる事が出来る他、伊達政宗の重臣である片倉小十郎（もともと宮司職にあったか）が育った場所だとか。 Among the many ancient temples of Yonezawa, Date. は	はるのゆいたろう on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小さな集落である成島地区の鎮守となっている「成島八幡神社」ですが、実は米沢では最も古い由緒を持つ神社との事です。創建は奈良時代までさかのぼるとの社伝ですが、仙台藩祖の伊達政宗の先祖の棟札が残っている(伊達氏発祥の地が米沢です)と言う事なので少なくとも600年の歴史を持った社殿のようです。集落の山裾に石鳥居があるのですが正面に小さな祠があります。「アレ…⁉️これが社殿かなぁ⁉️」と思わせますが伊達氏所縁の神社にしては小さすぎます。近づいてみると参道は斜めに山奥まで進んでいきます。直ぐの祠は境内摂社みたいです。参道は苔むしていますが神域の雰囲気を感じます。また最後の階段を上がった先の森も鬱蒼として神秘的な雰囲気を醸し出しています。神仏習合の名残なのか境内には鐘楼もありました。さすがに伊達氏奉納の社殿はとても立派で見応えがあります。鳥居前には駐車場すら無い地元の神社ですが米沢に残る伊達氏の遺構を感じる為にも是非とも訪問しておきたい神社だと思います。 Narushima Hachiman Shrine is the guardian of the small village of Narushima, but it is actually the oldest shrine in Yonezawa.
