和歌のよく使われるフレーズ『勿来（なこそ）』がわかる文学セクションと、昔の生活文化がわかる歴史セクションで構成。
昔の出来事を現代の新聞レイアウト・週刊誌風記事に表現してあるコーナーが秀逸。記事のコピー（文字のみ）が貰える。

It consists of a literature section where you can understand the phrase "Nakoso", which is often used in waka poems, and a history section where you can understand old life culture.
The corner that expresses old events in modern newspaper layouts and weekly magazine-style articles is excellent. You can get a copy of the article (text only).

The early flowering cherry blossoms were in full bloom. We went with a handmade lunch and ate while watching the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

昔からの和歌を一つ一つ調べてある資料(パンフレット)など、じっくり読みたくなるものです。
これまでのイメージとは違う、小野小町の歌(「みるめかる」の歌)を推しているところも、新たな感慨がありました。
小さくて地味でも(ごめんなさい)、大きな価値のある施設だと思います。
文化施設が軽んじられるご時世ですが、ずっと頑張ってください、いわき市さん。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 自然景観がいい、特に春の桜花見には最高の場所だと思います。有名文学者の企画展が年中ありますので、その月の展示の方勉強して行けば関心もって見られる。
The natural landscape is nice, especially for spring cherry blossom viewing. There are exhibitions by famous literary figures all year round, so if you study for the exhibition that month, you will be interested in it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 文化を担う心意気を感じる。1月３日に開館しているのは素晴らしい。勿来の関の場所が正確に特定できない様だが、古来歌に詠まれ愛されてきた「勿来」を立体的に理解する上で訪れてみる価値がある。高校の古文等でも取り上げられるトピックなので動機づけにも訪れて欲しい場所だ。

It seems that the location of Nakoso no Seki cannot be identified accurately, but it is worth visiting to understand the three-dimensional understanding of "Nakoso", which has been loved by ancient songs.
