★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little gem tuck in the residential area. Found this on the google map abd decided to go. Very small shrine but worth going just to get some nice pictures and spent our time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place to enjoy the autumn colours. There are shops selling food, accessories and APPLES. The apples taste really good, and are really cheap (50 to 200 yen each).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Accessible by Public Transport which is why I highly recommend to those who don't drive. Small place but is enough to view red leaves with river streams.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is not very big but good enough to have a good the mountain filled with blazing red leaves. It takes around 1.5 hrs to get to Kuroishi station from Aomori station. Bus schedule not very regular (¥640) but you can catch a taxi from Kuroishi station for around ¥2,500.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic/awesome/wonderful place to go during autumn peaks though 2 hours drive but worth it and my kids enjoyed the beautiful maple leaves color changing. Kinda wiped out/exhausted when going back home.
