About 20 minutes on foot from Kuroishi station, the thatched bell tower is beautiful.

江戸時代前期に開山された黄檗禅宗の寺で
1691年頃に今の場所へ本堂が移されました。
境内には県重宝指定の鐘楼堂や山門など
あり とても趣がある建物を拝見できます。

In the precincts, there are bell towers and mountain gates designated as prefectural treasures.
You can see a very quaint building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 法眼寺は、黄檗禅宗（おうばくぜんしゅう）の寺。津軽三十三観音霊場第26番札所であり、黒石藩主の祈願所となっていた。黒石市内のお寺は、建物が新しいものが多いが、ここは見るからに昔の造りであった。
本堂と鐘楼堂は青森県の重宝。山門、開山堂などの黒石市指定文化財がある。重層の鐘楼堂は、なかなか見ることができない。参拝をぜひお勧めします。
Houmeji is a temple of the Obaku Zen sect. It was the 26th temple of the Tsugaru 33 Kannon Sacred Ground, and was the prayer place for the lord of the Kuroishi feudal lord. Many of the temples in Kuroishi City have new buildings, but as you can see, they were old-fashioned.
The main hall and bell tower are useful in Aomori prefecture. There are cultural properties designated by Kuroishi City such as Sanmon and Kaisando. The multi-story bell tower is hard to see. We highly recommend visiting.
