★ ★ ★ ★ ★ くんのこ、くんのご、は当地の方言で琥珀のこと。久慈市の道の駅「やませ土風館」の土の館内に売店がある。久慈は琥珀の特産地であり、琥珀アクセサリを販売する店舗は土の館にもう一店入居しているが、久慈産琥珀だけを使って販売しているのは、こちらだけらしい。もう一つの店舗はロシアからバルト海沿岸産も扱っているらしい。
久慈の琥珀は褐色を帯びた文字通りの琥珀色だがバルト海沿岸産は明るい色のものが多いようだ。
買いもしないのに冷やかしで見ただけであったが、店頭にあった巨大な原石は一見の価値がある。
 Kunoko and Kungo are local dialects for amber. There is a shop in the soil of the roadside station "Yamase Dofukan" in Kuji City. Kuji is a specialty of amber, and there is another store that sells amber accessories in the clay hall, but it seems that this is the only store that sells only Kuji amber. Another store seems to sell products from Russia to the Baltic coast.
Kuji's amber is literally brownish amber, but most of the Baltic coastal products are bright.
I didn't even buy it, but I just saw it chilled, but the huge rough stones in the store are worth a look.
