市民の方々も背もたれのあるベンチがないので、よく利用されています。

その楽曲「夕暮れ時はさびしそう」の情景の舞台が磐井川の堤防です。
Ｎ.Ｓ.Ｐ.はヤマハポピュラーソングコンテスト東北大会でグランプリを授賞、全国大会でも優秀賞を獲得してメジャーデビューを果たしました。
そんなＮ.Ｓ.Ｐ.のボーカルであった天野 滋は、52歳の若さで大腸がんの為に天に召されたのです。
2019年7月1日、天野の命日であるこの日に、グループメンバーの中村貴之さんと平賀和人さんが参列して歌碑の除幕が行われたとの事のです。

On July 1, 2019, the anniversary of Amano's death, group members Takayuki Nakamura and Kazuto Hiraga attended and the monument was unveiled.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 令和元年7月1日に「N.S.Pメモリアルスポット」として、磐井川堤防に設置されました。? 田舎の堤防 夕暮れ時に〜 と始まる「夕暮れ時はさびしそう」の舞台となった堤防です。今は新しい堤防となり、当時とは多少情景は変わったと思いますが、この歌を聴くと、情景と相まって感慨に浸れる場所です。季節によって変わりますが、夕方になるとこの「夕暮れ時はさびしそう」が流れます。（ちなみに11月〜2月は15:02、16:02、17:02の3回流れます） また、JR一ノ関駅の東北新幹線ホームで、発車メロディーとしても3月20日から流れています。ファンならずとも、一度は訪れてほしいスポットです。
