★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「妙覚寺」は顕本法華宗の寺院ですが、江戸時代の領主であった酒井氏の崇敬を得て、伽藍が建ち並び興隆を誇ったとの事です。
日本地図をはじめて作成した伊能忠敬が若い頃に妙覚寺で読み書きを習ったとの逸話も残っています。
それが台風被害により荒廃し、現在の堂宇は再建されたモノとの事ですが、境内はキレイで、且つ四季折々の自然も豊かな寺院です。
門前には朱塗り鐘楼もあり、銅鐘は「平和・喜の鐘」と呼ばれているそうです。
"Myokaku-ji" is a temple of the Kempon Hokke sect, but it is said that the temples were lined up and prospered with the reverence of Mr. Sakai, who was the lord of the Edo period.
There is also an anecdote that Tadataka Ino, who created the first map of Japan, learned to read and write at Myokaku Temple when he was young.
It was devastated by the typhoon, and the current Dou is said to have been rebuilt, but the precincts are beautiful and the nature of the four seasons is abundant.
There is also a red-painted bell tower in front of the gate, and the bronze bell is said to be called the "bell of peace and joy."
