文明18年(1486年)8月5日に真言宗の寺院として創建｡
初代住職は日曜上人と名を変え､長享2年(1488年)の土気城主酒井定隆による宗教政策「上総七里法華」に従い､法華宗日什門流に改宗｡
三派合同を経て顕本法華宗の寺院となり､現在に至ります｡
御住職より快く御首題を戴きました｡
It is a temple of the Kempon Hokke sect in Magame, Kujukuri-cho.
Built as a Shingon Buddhist temple on August 5, 1486.
The first chief priest changed his name to Sunday, and converted to the Hokke-shu Nichiju-monryu in accordance with the religious policy "Kazusa Shichiri Hokke" by Sadataka Sakai, the lord of Doki Castle in 1488.
After a joint effort of the three factions, it became a temple of the Kempon Hokke sect and continues to this day.
I was happy to receive the title from the priest.
