★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 素晴らしい眺望を楽しめる展望台ですが、施設としては駐車スペース（十分な広さです）とベンチ、出雲山の由来を解説する看板といった程度でトイレや自動販売機などの設備はありません。
 It is an observatory where you can enjoy a wonderful view, but as a facility there is no parking space (sufficient space), benches, signboards explaining the origin of Mt. Izumo, toilets and vending machines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 倭文神社に向かう途中に立ち寄り。当日は曇り空で大山の展望はのぞめませんでしたが、倭文神社とセットで行きたいところ。
Stop by on the way to Waomomi Shrine. Climbing sky on the day but the view of Oyama did not appear, but I want to go with a set with Wushomi Shrine.

もう少し南寄りにあれば温泉街を中心にした大パノラマじゃないの？
なんて感じました ロケーションがちょいと惜しいかなぁ
The parking lot is large and easy to stop
Isn't it a big panorama centered on a hot spring town if it is a little further south?

大国主命の娘:下照姫命がここから故郷の出雲方面を見て懐かしんでいたとされる場所なので出雲山展望台といわれる
夕日だけでなく、東郷湖、日本海、大山も見える。

そしてこの地の人々に安全な出産の技術を伝えられたとのこと。
ただ、遠い出雲を恋しく思われた命がこの山で出雲に向かい何か小声で呟いておられたそうです。
今なら車で3時間程度ですが当時なら何日もかかったことでしょう。
夕日に向かい何を思っておられたのでしょうか。
