s	serow250 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 草戸山ハイキング目的ではなく、城山湖、本沢ダム見学が目的なのに青少年センター前の散策路入口から、迷い込むかのように草戸山頂上休憩所まで来てしまった次第です。城山湖周辺は二輪車通行止めでバイクで来るものなら、ダムまで徒歩でかなり歩かされ(遠回り)おまけにゲートの閉門が16:30なので凄く不便なスポットです。 Although the purpose was not to hike Mt. Kusato but to visit Lake Shiroyama and Honzawa Dam, I came from the entrance of the walking path in front of the Youth Center to the resting place at the top of Mt. Kusato as if I was lost. If you come by motorcycle with two-wheeled vehicles closed around Lake Shiroyama, you can walk to the dam quite a bit (detour) and the gate closes at 16:30, which is a very inconvenient spot.
4	4a Pixel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 城山湖からの散策路は通行止めの箇所があり、峰の薬師分岐回りで遠回りして登りました。頂上の松見平展望台は、景色は眼下ではなく遠くに見えます。写真を撮るなら、望遠レンズがよさそうです。湖越しに景色が見えるのは、頂上ではなく、城山湖からの途中の別の場所のようです。(他の口コミを読み、景色が開ける場所があることを知りました。) The walking path from Lake Shiroyama is closed to traffic, so I took a detour around the Yakushi branch of the peak and climbed it. At the top of the Matsumidaira Observatory, the scenery can be seen in the distance, not below. If you want to take a picture, a telephoto lens looks good. The view over the lake seems to be somewhere else on the way from Lake Shiroyama, not the summit. (I read other reviews and found out that there are places where the scenery can be opened.)
J	Joselu Fraile on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You got many trails to hike but Kusato is not full of tourists. First you will arrive to Takaosanguchi station ?. And from there you got several trails to reach Mount Takao. So follow those. Once you get there you can go to the Information center and ask for maps for trails to Kusato mountain. Its beautiful and not many people there so its worth it. The only thing remember the Kanjis for the places that you wanna reach because at some point the English translation is no longer there and it's only Kanjis so at least I will recommend to take pics of the two in Kanjis and English and then look at the pic to know where you need to go. But the people is really nice and will help you a lot. Affer the trail I went to the onsen near the station which was amazing so a must if you just headed to Takao for some natural experience away from the city and want to relax after the long trail.
