It was a good place to take a walk while feeling the history and nature. Since it is a castle ruin, it is a mountain road. There is a history / map signboard on the way. A lot of gravel road It seems that more than 10 cars can be parked for free in the parking lot. There is a clean toilet in the parking lot. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet and a baby diaper bed. I took a walk for about an hour, but there are places I haven't visited yet, so I'll come back again.

Continued 100 Fine Castles in Japan No. 121 Read "Moto Sakurajo". The history seems to be from the Muromachi period, but it was abandoned in the Edo period. It is the ruins of a small mountain castle. To be honest, I feel lonely without any remains. There is a national historic site Motosakura Castle Ruins Information Center in the parking lot, and you can talk about the history of the castle in various ways, like volunteer-like men and women are stationed there. The stamp is also here.

Personally, I was overwhelmed by the height difference and discrepancy of Higashiyama Koguchi. There are many other attractions. It takes a long time to see it because it is very large. The uncles at the information center will teach you carefully, so if you have time, ask for a guide and you may be able to understand the charm of this castle better.

I went there because it was added to the continued 100 fine castles. When I went there, there was a beautiful tourist information center and some guides came. The snow remained and my feet were slippery, but there was no danger of falling with the guide, and the guide's explanation was very easy to understand, such as the contents of the castle and the historical background at the time of construction. Therefore, if you go, we recommend that you have a guide.

It is the residence of Mr. Chiba and is the ruins of a castle at the end of the Warring States period. Continued 100 Fine Castles. It is said to be called "the castle of the earth". As the name suggests, there are still wonderful earthworks, moat, and steep shores. If you walk around the Kuruwa around Shiroyama, where the Chiba clan's castle was said to have been, you can reach the front shore. I can't walk around, but I can walk on the parking lot ? The view from Higashiyama is also wonderful. The large castle ruins are well maintained. You can get materials and maps at the information center (with a stamp of 100 continued castles). The toilet is clean.

Come to Osakura station for the Castle of 本佐倉. It’s a nice and quite place. Good place for hiking. The Continued 100 Famous Castle Stamp is not lactated here though. Also not at the train station. It’s supposed located at the community center.

It's an excavation site with none of the excavated things remaining ? It would have been better if some of the walls or structures still remained. Right now it's just an empty patch of trimmed grass. The links on the explanation boards lead to broken websites so the only way to get info about the site is to use Google translate. Nice for a bit of a hike though
