★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a five minute walk from our airbnb. They provide soap. It's in a row of pre-measured cups when you walk in. Wash was 300 yen. Dry is 100 yen but I had more clothes so I put in 200. It's all in Japanese and I was fortunate enough to a lady there doing wash who helped me out. Even gave me her fabric softener. Total time about an hour.

We found this a few blocks from where we were staying in Shibuya.
Free soap!
No coins, so gotta go some place and get those.
Compared to America, they loading of these machines were smaller.
Can't eat inside, even though there are vending machines.
But it is small anyway and there are some chairs outside.
I think it is fairly cheap and really clean.

The detergent was free there were plenty of machines, nice street the locals showed me how to use the drink machine to get change (you have to buy a drink ) put 1000 yen note in buy a 100 yen drink and you get 100yen coins in change.

machines: several front-loading, regular-capacity washers. one-large capacity, front-loading washer.
dryers: several regular-capacity dryers and large capacity dryers.
detergent: two types provided free by the facility.
note:
no change maker -- bring 100Y coins. closest convenience store is a Lawson a half-block away and across street.
small seating area in front, and stools lined up in front of dryers.
clean, pink baskets provided for your clothes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice quiet laundromat. Detergent is provided free in plastic cups by the entrance. Washing is 300 yen for 7.5kg load and 100 yen per 10 minutes for the dryers. There is no coin exchange inside but there are drink vending machines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb. Location is about 10-12 mins walk from Shibuya crossing. Please ensure to bring Yen 100 coins. No vending machine to change. 2 types of washing machine cost Yen 200 and Yen 300 for larger. Better bring extra coins for drinks
