★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 226事件で消失したが、その後再建されたものが現在に残る。館内には当時の資料が残されボランティアの方が熱心に説明してくれる‼️是非一度訪れてみ下さい。
 It disappeared in 226 cases, but has been rebuilt since then. Documents from the time are left in the hall and volunteers eagerly explain. ️Please visit once by all means.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 川をはさんだ向こうにある伊藤屋旅館の元別館で、二・二六事件の際、ここに宿泊していた牧野伸顕（吉田茂の義父で麻生太郎の曽祖父）が反乱部隊の襲撃を受け、牧野は辛くも難を逃れたものの建物は全焼しました。現在の建物はその後再建されたもので、事件に関する資料が展示されています。
まあ、わざわざ見に来るほどのものではないので★二つの評価にしていますが、これといった名所もない湯河原ですので、チェックイン前のお散歩にはいいのではないかと思います。
開館は週末の不定期で宿泊施設としては利用できないものの、伊藤屋そのものは今もって現役の旅館です。反乱部隊は伊藤屋本館の見晴らしのいい部屋から光風荘の動向をうかがっていたとのことですが、伊藤屋に宿泊して旧館二階、三階とかの部屋にあたれば、反乱部隊ごっこができます。
At the former annex of the Itoya Ryokan across the river, Nobuaki Makino (Shigeru Yoshida's father-in-law and Taro Aso's great-grandfather) who stayed here during the February 26 Incident attacked the rebels. In response, Makino escaped the difficulty, but the building was completely burned down. The current building was subsequently rebuilt and exhibits materials related to the incident.
Well, it's not something that you bother to come to see, so I've given it two ratings, but since there are no famous places like this in Yugawara, I think it's a good place to take a walk before check-in.
Although the museum opens irregularly on weekends and cannot be used as an accommodation facility, Itoya itself is still an active inn. It is said that the rebels were watching the trend of Kofuso from the room with a good view of the Itoya main building, but if you stay at Itoya and hit the rooms on the second and third floors of the old building, you can play the rebels.
