In ancient times, the main shrine was even higher. I'm sorry that it opened strangely now. The so-called forest festival is a festival here.

I had a hard time coming here by car. It is just up the long stairs. There is a slope on the south side of this staircase, but it was under construction on that day. Although the surrounding area is a castle town in the forest, the precincts are very quiet, probably because it is on a hill. According to the website, the god of the festival is Oyama Yasumi. It's a series with Mishima Taisha as the main shrine. The mossy feeling of the dogs makes me feel a long history. How busy will it be during the festival? I wanted to come once.

I visited Reiwa on May 2nd. The roof of the main hall has a bonito and a chigi, which is cool because Mishima Taisha is the main shrine. I saw this roof for the first time in a long time, but Chiki is really cool. The parking lot is likely to be parked next to the hall and main hall (about 2.3 cars), but it may not be possible with a narrow minivan where the slopes of the slopes are tight. It seems that there is no parking lot nearby, I used next to Akiha bus service nearby (a little place along the road along Ota River).

From the instructions --- Forest place name and ritual company Nakamachi Mt. Mishima, where Mishima Shrine is enshrined, is called "Mt. Moriyama, Mt. Shirahata, Mt. Daimyojin", and "Moriyama" is said to be the etymology of Morimachi. According to the "Forest and Mukaiamagata Border Conflict" (former Nojiri family document) in 1626, the border between the two villages (Iidaso and Ichinomiyaso) has been the summit of Mt. Due to the flood of five years, the Ota River, which flowed on the west side of the mountain (currently Machichu-dori), began to flow on the east side of the mountain (current position), and the village boundary was established east and west across the river. The north of this "Moriyama" is called "Mori no Ue" and the south is called "Morishita". Every November, the "Forest Festival", which decorates the tail of the Enshu festival, is a festival of this Mishima Shrine and is the heart of the people of Mori Town. In the first year of the former turtle during the Warring States period, Bairinin's Motokame Osho, who was under Moriyama, avoided the war and fled to Ejiricho (now Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City) with his husband in the forest. After that, Bairinin went down to the end temple of Jikoji Temple in Sanshu, and was placed under the Tokugawa power along with Mishima Shrine. In the last years of Kyoho, Bairinin moved to Anyamashita, and the precincts were moved to the Yamada residence. Under this Mishima mountain, in 1587, Yamada Shichirozaemon, who was given a red seal by Ieyasu Tokugawa as a foundry carpenter of Shunen Ryogoku, set up a mansion, and small places such as Okano and Matsui were nearby. It was a foundry town where a foundry called a carpenter set up a foundry. In the early modern period, there is a Shoya and Mori Ichiba merchant called "Mori no Rokukenshu (descendant of the Den Kumano Shugendo)". Tarozaemon served as the lord of the market (the applicant for the ban on the forest market in the 5th year of the Tensho era). In addition, Bunzaburo Ota, Gobei Ide Suzuki of Moriyama, Koemon Ide Ando of Nishiwaki, and Kiyoemon Kamiya served as villagers for generations. The main shrine of Mt. Daimeijin was destroyed by fire during the Warring States period. After that, the shrine was rebuilt during the Keicho era, but it was revealed from the records on the building tags that the main shrine was rebuilt in 1672, when the shrine was rebuilt by the great fire of the first year of Kanbun. In addition, it is stated on several repair building tags that repairs such as re-roofing were repeated. In 1996, the main shrine of Mishima Shrine was designated as a cultural property designated by the town, and the sculptures such as whirlpools and young leaf patterns on the rainbow beams and noses are delicate and are common to the temple and shrine architectural sculptures seen in the early Edo period. Records of craftsmen at that time are also kept. December, 2007 Morimachi Mori Town Board of Education
