下の公民館より徒歩で歩いていける距離です。戦国時代は丹後の国を治めていた、一色義道の弟、吉原義清が治めていた、城になります。城跡の状態も良く、砦跡も分かりやすい城跡です。

It will be a castle ruled by Isshiki Yoshimichi's younger brother, Yoshikiyo Yoshihara, who ruled the country of Tango during the Warring States period. The ruins of the castle are in good condition, and the ruins of the fort are easy to understand.

京都府の観光ガイドにも登場する山城で車で簡単に本丸近くまで行けるのですが途中には車止めが数カ所設けて有ります。登り口に書かれた連絡先に了解を取れば通れるようです。一番上の駐車場には全く清掃していない汚いトイレも在りました。海抜１８０m程で登り口からだと１３０m程登れば本丸に辿り着けるので徒歩でも容易に登れます。日本海も少しだけ望めたりするので眺望は良い方だと思います。吉原山城を本格的に築いたのは丹後守護一色詮範で嘉慶２年（1388）のことであったそうです。江戸時代には山城は使われなくなり金峯神社奥宮が建っています。

You can easily drive to the vicinity of Honmaru at Yamashiro, which appears in Kyoto Prefecture's tourist guides, but there are several bollards along the way. It is said that Yoshiwara Yamashiro was built in earnest in the 2nd year of Jiaqing (1388) by Isshiki Akinori, a guardian of Tango. During the Edo period, Yamashiro was no longer used and the Okumiya of Kinmine Shrine was built.
