y	yasutaka taniguchi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水無月神社(みなづきじんじゃ)は京都府舞鶴市の中央部。京都府舞鶴市東吉原の五老ヶ岳の南西の山麓で府道565号沿いに鎮座する神社です。ご祭神月夜見命（つきよみのみこと）吉原（よしわら）の産土神です。地域住民から大切にされているようで、綺麗に整理されてます。境内には、石標、鳥居、石灯篭、手洗舎、狛犬、覆屋、本殿、節末社などがあります。明神鳥居には「水無月神社」と記された石製の扁額が掛かっており、本殿には「水無月神社」と記された木製の扁額が掛かっております。神社の傍の伊佐津川の東側に並行して流れる人工水路である吉原入江（よしはらいりえ）では、水辺に建ち並ぶ家と漁船の風情ある独特の漁港の街の景色が見られます。倍賞美津子、原田芳雄、石橋蓮司、塩見三省、余貴美子など個性的な俳優陣が出演していた映画「ニワトリはハダシだ」などのロケ地にもなっています。 (2021/12/3撮影)

The shrine was named Minazuki ( literally meaning a place where we enshrine the blessing of the month of minazuki which is June according to our old calendar.) The place was established with the hands of the local fishermen. According to the history the local fishermen of Yoshihara used to live in an area called Kawajiri around late Tanabe Castle in Maizuru and later relocated themselves to this area during the event of great fire in Tanabe. The canal where the water from the sea flows in has many boats owned by the locals parked in front of each house built next to the water creates such a unique atmosphere.
