★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桁行5間半、梁間3間半の主屋と、桁行3間・梁間2間半の土間(台所)からなり、寄棟で茅葺屋根の屋根は連続してかかる。主屋は最近の復原修理の結果、広問形3間取となった。
この住宅は、仙台藩に属した奥山家の家老松本家の住宅として用いられたが、奥山家の前の地頭古内家時代の建築という。県中部から北部にかけて分布する主屋と土間を分けた民家の一つであり、「分棟型」民家としても、また侍屋敷としても古い遺構である。
 It consists of a main building with 5 and a half girders and 3 and a half girders, and a dirt floor (kitchen) with 3 girders and 2 and a half girders, and the thatched roof is continuously covered by the hipped roof. As a result of recent restoration and repairs, the main building has become a wide-question type 3 floor plan.
This house was used as the residence of the Okuyama family's chief retainer Matsumoto family, who belonged to the Sendai domain, but it is said to have been built during the Jito Kouchi family period in front of the Okuyama family. It is one of the main houses distributed from the central part to the northern part of the prefecture and the private house that separates the soil, and it is an old remains as a "branch type" private house and a samurai residence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 松本家住宅は、仙台藩に重臣として仕えていた奥山家の家老職、松本家が代々居住してきた家屋です。奥山家が大和町よりこの地に移封される以前、前任者の古内家時代のもので、今から約280年ほど前の江戸時代中期に建造されたと推定されています。宮城県内にも広く分布していた主屋と土間を分けた分棟型の侍屋敷ですが、全国的にも古い遺例だそうで、国の重要文化財に指定されています。
茅葺屋根から滴る水のしずくがとても綺麗でした。素朴な造りですが当時の半農の在郷武士の生活を窺い知ることができる貴重な建築物だと思います。
The Matsumoto family house is a house where Matsumoto family has been living for generations since Okuyama family, who served as a reputable minister in Sendai. Before Okuyama's house was transferred to Yamato-cho from here, it was estimated that it was the predecessor of the former Uchiuchi family, and was built about the middle of the Edo period about 280 years ago. It is a branch-type samurai-style residence divided between the main house and the ground widely distributed in Miyagi Prefecture, but it seems to be an old remnant nationwide, and it is designated as an important cultural property of the country.
The drops of water dripping from the roof were very beautiful. It is a simple construction, but I think it is a valuable building that you can learn about the life of half-agricultural villagers of that time.

茅葺き屋根の一軒家があり、昔の侍の住宅なのだなあ、としみじみ感じました。
私が来たときは他に客も居なかったので、縁側で広い畑と、緑の山をみながらほのぼの休憩できました。
外にあるトイレは非常に清潔で綺麗でした。
