★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down one of the worst customer experiences in Japan. Bought two cups of coffee and were told to leave as the chairs are only for guests waiting for their beans. Place was empty though.
Turns out that the coffee was utterly burned and just plain disgusting in taste. Would not go again.

Staff will roast them on the spot to your liking, taking between 5-10 minutes depending on how busy it is.
Lots of single origin and blends available.
Merchandise and branding is also cute, and fits the feel of this town.

Small, friendly roast-to-order coffee bean shop with tiny cafe menu.
Fifteen years since they opened, this shop is clearly providing a needed product. More than a dozen vats of green coffee beans line the walls with descriptions and excellent radar graphs.
The customer picks the beans and the roast and the friendly staff loads them into a tiny automated roaster in the corner. At busy times you will be given a time when your beans will be ready.
The aroma from the bags of beans on the way home is heavenly! It doesn't get much fresher than this. Highly recommended.
