UDトラックスの小型トラック生産撤退により、一時は閉鎖の危機にあったこの工場が、２０１４年末にGCTに譲渡され、３年の歳月をかけて今では、ディーゼルエンジンだけでなくガソリンLPGエンジンも生産する、そして機関部品の鋳造から５C部品加工、組立まで揃った、世界でも珍しいエンジンの一貫生産工場へと生まれ変わりました。
このプ●ジェクトX顔負けの工場再生ストーリーは、移籍してきた工場のメンバーの熱意によって見事に完成し、完成直前の再度の工場閉鎖の危機を乗り越えて、更なる進化を続けています。
世界中の多くのフォークリフトに積まれているベストセラーエンジンやガスヒートポンプ用エンジンなどの組立、今や国内では少なくなった鋳鉄工程が中子型の製造から全部見られる工場見学はオススメです。
In the past, it opened in 1972 as a foundry for Nissan Diesel casting.
Due to the withdrawal of UD Trucks' light truck production, this factory, which was once in danger of closing, was transferred to GCT at the end of 2014, and now over 3 years now it produces not only diesel engines but also gasoline LPG engines. And it has been reborn as an integrated engine production plant that is rare in the world, from engine parts casting to 5C parts processing and assembly.
This factory-recovery factory revival story has been brilliantly completed by the enthusiasm of the factory members who have been transferred to the factory, and has continued to evolve further overcoming the crisis of factory closure just before completion.
