★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imagine walking into a small restaurant where your grandmother is making aromatic home cooked curry. Now add in another Japanese grandma or two, and that's what you have here.
The food here is so simple and so good. No English menu - but not a huge problem. The menu isn't huge, a veggie, seafood, and pork option are about it. Three different sizes for each - I'd recommend the small if you plan on being productive in the afternoon.

Small groups only - mostly bar seating here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is excellent. The menu is entirely in Japanese but the staff is more than happy to help you figure it out. The omelette rice here is better than a lot of other more famous spots. A little pricier then most though but portion size is good.

edit: it's been 2 years and I still think about eating this dish back when I was in Japan. Truly one of the greatest things I've ever eaten
