★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kampeki! Saiko! Perfect food, Perfect staff, Perfect Japanese Steakhouse. We went 2 nights in a row. We both had wagyu which was melt- in- your-mouth delicious the first night. We had fresh organic veggies both nights, garlic rice the first night and salad with fish scales (forgot the epicurian name). The wagyu tartar for appetizer the second night. Kanayasan, the chef, split the chateaubriand and wagyu steaks between our two plates the second night. Perfect again. Sako greeted us with his perfect English and sat us at the grill where we became best friends w Kanayasan Ikeda, his assistant, and, of course, Sako. Both the green tea and peanut ice cream were perfect. The plates were perfectly decorated with balsamic trees, cherry blossoms (minced radishes) and condiments. The grill sat 6 and there were 2 small and 1 large tables (about 15 seats) in the rectangle shaped room on the second floor (stairs only). 1940-50 American music played in the background (Sinatra like) making for a great atmosphere. If we weren't leaving, we would go a third night. Shell fish was also available, but we stayed with the beef. Just perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, good beer (Suntory Master's Dream), but above all else great food. I had one of the course meals (not sure which) and of course the Wagyu steak was excellent but I hadn't expected the quality of the rest of the food to be so high (and nicely presented). Scallop with sea urchin on top was a good one. I'll definitely try to come back here again!
