★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神 大山津見神
馬山神社は、下仁田町馬山の馬山小学校跡地東側に位置しています。
元は稲荷神社が祀られていましたが、明治十年（1877）一月県令第20号布達に基き字若宮の八幡神社へ移転しました。
稲荷神社が若宮に遷座したことに伴い、馬山村の中央に位置するこの跡地に社殿を新築して、村内各所に散在する神社を合祀し馬山神社と改称し村の総鎮守としました。
境内には、神楽殿や新饌舎・土蔵、合祀した神社以外に移転安置した末社（石宮）も三十社あります。
また、馬山地区は獅子舞が盛んであり、神社へ奉納する舞は、白山や鎌田、四村、若宮、蒔田の五組あります。秋祭りには、それぞれの地区で豊作や健康長寿を感謝して舞を奉納しています。

 Ogami Tsumigami
Mayama Shrine is located on the east side of the former site of Mayama Elementary School in Mayama, Shimonita-cho.
Originally the Inari Shrine was enshrined, but in 1877, it moved to Hachiman Shrine in Wakamiya based on January 20th of the Ordinance of the Prefecture.
Along with the relocation of Inari Shrine to Wakamiya, a new shrine was built on this site located in the center of Mayama Village, and shrines scattered throughout the village were renamed Mayama Shrine and renamed as the total protection of the village.
There are also 30 shrines (Ishimiya) located in the precincts, in addition to the Kaguraden, the new stables and storehouses, and the relocated shrines.
There are many lion dances in the Mayama area, and there are five groups of dances dedicated to shrines: Hakusan, Kamada, Shimura, Wakamiya, and Iwata. During the Autumn Festival, we are devoting dance to each district thanks to the good harvest and healthy longevity.
