★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious eel. I had never eaten eel before (unless it was in sushi) and it was absolutely as good as I though it would be.
I got the Hitsumabushi set, it was ¥2850, which seems a little pricey, but I think it was well spent. I do believe the menu changes seasonally, so it may not be available in the winter.
The servers speak a little English and they have an English menu as well as instruction on how to eat the Hitsumabushi.
The place is small, only a few 2-4 person tables and a counter. I didn't have to wait but I can imagine having to wait on busier nights.
I didn't drink any alcohol but there is a large selection of sake available.
Overall a great experience, if you're in the area it's worth a stop. Lots of night life in the area around it too. Only issue was the tricky roads and the fact that Google maps was sending me all over the place!

Had the Unagi Don for 3,500 Yen. The unagi was so soft, slightly charred and tasty. Perfectly cooked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good service, we arrived near closing time but they still accepted us anyway seeing that we were tourists. The staff were very helpful with the menu and informing us the proper way to eat the unagi. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got lost and only arrived at 2.45pm, the last few customers of the shop before they close from lunch service. The staff saw us struggling with the Japanese menu and helped us with the orders. Amazing people, not to mention that the unagi was tender and the sauce is not too salty/sweet. Love this place!
