A 20-minute walk from the parking lot. Well maintained, but be careful with your feet as the wet rocks will slide. There is a well-looking waterfall in front of the waterfall, but the view when viewed by pulling is impaired. I can't see it just before, so when the waterfall appears, I'm impressed.

I went to Makutaki. The Makutaki promenade from Makukawa Onsen to Makutaki is frequently washed away by typhoons and heavy rains, and once washed away, the administration will not restore it for several years. Now that all the bridges have been restored, I wanted to take this opportunity. Makukawa Onsen There is a Makutaki promenade between Yoshikuraya Ryokan and Mitoya Ryokan. After this, you have to climb up and down a mountain road with bad feet. You can reach the first "Tempu Bridge" fairly quickly. The distance from there to the second "Daiichi Kibashi" is quite long. ? Go down the rocky hill. The third bridge is "the second wooden bridge". This bridge is new on the front side, so it seems to be a bridge that was added this year. The fourth "Shirakaba Bridge" has a torii ⛩ in front. I feel like I'm finally going into a sacred place. Almost climb from here. The fifth bridge is "Tsubakuro Bridge". There is a place where the fallen tree is used as a promenade. You will pass by a small waterfall and a promenade made of iron. The road ahead is really slippery, so you should proceed carefully. When you cross the 6th "Takimi Bridge", Makutaki will appear in front of you. 30 minutes, paying attention to the feet slipping on the wet leaves. The Makutaki waterfall that we finally arrived at is a masterpiece. ? You can see Takimidai after crossing "Takimi Bridge", but the megaliths at the end of "Takimi Bridge" are completely smooth. You cannot reach Takimidai without climbing this megalith. Climbing is good, but how about returning? ?? ?? ? I didn't go to Takimidai because it looked a bit dangerous. It gets in the way, so don't carry a bag as much as possible. It is better to wear non-slip shoes. If you make a mistake, don't go with sandals or heels. It may be good to have a pole for mountain climbing. Is it even better to have a bear bell? If you are accustomed to climbing mountains, you can reach the spectacular scenery without any problems. ? On the contrary, people should be careful if they have never climbed a mountain. It is a recommended spot because you can see the waterfall right next to it. ❤

I went to Golden Week, but I had a lot of snow left and I did not know the route to the waterfall, but I managed to arrive. Along the way, it was hard to say that the bridge was crumbling, but the waterfall was quite good because it had a lot of snowmelt.

If you point to the Makutaki parking lot, you can enter the correct route. There is a promenade entrance between the two inns. You need to be careful when crossing wooden bridges and rocky areas along the way. Location The patterned wooden bridge is fragile, and the area around Makutaki is wet all year round, so non-slip shoes are essential. If possible, carry your luggage on your back and keep both hands open so that you can rest assured when you lose your posture. The appearance of Makutaki can finally be seen at the very end. A visit to sew a long rainy season. There was no wind on that day, but when I approached the waterfall, there was a great wind due to the water pressure. The abundant amount of water in the rain every day, the contrast between dark green and pure white, and the dark rocks are mysterious. You may have visited at a great time. The beautiful and powerful main waterfall and the spring waterfall that runs around the basin are picturesque. How divine! I feel like I'm in an unexplored region. I was overwhelmed for a while. The second half of Reiwa 2 years, but the promenade was reopened the other day. The promenade is full of highlights, with the sounds of wild grasses and birds, mountain streams of clear water, small waterfalls with hot springs, and Makutaki with a double rainbow on a clear day. It is the best waterfall in Japan and the headwaters of Arakawa.

The waterfall that flows down in two steps and the small streams that surround it create a unique landscape. A waterfall that makes you want to see it forever. Walk along the promenade from the parking lot through between the two inns. It is about a 20-minute walk to the waterfall. You will not get bored because you will cross the bridge many times on the way and walk while enjoying the flow of small waterfalls and the beauty of nature. The final point, Makutaki, suddenly appears after going around the rocks, so I'm surprised to see it. The Takimidai on the waterfall basin is comfortable because you can take a flight. However, there seemed to be rockfalls, and many rocks were rolling on Takimidai, so I felt a little dangerous.

Not only the powerful main stream, but also the tributaries that seem to exude from the rocks are spectacular. Please be careful as your feet are slippery.

beautiful scramble up a water way with some creative bridges and trail. it starts with some beautiful overland and down hill...which on the way back is switchback stairs. my 9 years olds did great. I would hesitate to take toddlers or <6 or any kid you don't trust to not throw themselves off the edge of the bridges without side rails. very narrow road leading up to the trailhead so take it slow, but it's beautiful and very little traffic. I would ride my bike here but some of the braver might brave the narrow windy roads and hills!
