★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旧東海道の史跡・秋葉山常夜燈探索で訪れ旧東海道 舞阪宿 一里塚公園にある一方の一里塚ミニモニュメントと共に新町常夜燈もこちらの同公園内にも確認しました。
舞阪郷土史研究会・浜松市の説明板を確認すると簡単な詳細が分かり、常夜燈は他の舞坂宿仲町常夜灯、西町常夜灯と略同内容の説明板があり建立は文化一二年（1815）正月で、基台石垣が低すぎることや宝珠、受が新しく修繕されているようですが、新しい注連縄が掛けられ新町住人に大切に受け継がれ現在も悪霊の侵入を防ぐ灯りをともし（火袋内部でなく外側に照明が取付けられているのが少し残念ですが）町内を鎮め安全を見守っています。

The 68th Ichizuka, counting from Edo. Located in Maisaka Inn. I feel that it is relatively unusual to have Ichizuka in the post.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸から68里の一里塚跡と秋葉山常夜燈がある。一里塚跡は完全に失われて、碑がたっているだけであるがきちんと説明書きも添えてあるだけでも素晴らしい。常夜燈も街道沿いに多く残っているので、こういった遺構を楽しみながら歩くのも良いと思います。
There is a landmark of 68 ri from Edo. The ruins of Ichirizuka have been completely lost and only the monument is standing, but it is wonderful just to have a proper description. There are many nightlights along the highway, so it's a good idea to walk while enjoying these archeological sites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日本橋から68里(267km)の一里塚。たまたまでしょうが、宿場町のなかにありました。しかし、今は塚はなく、辛うじて松の木が横たわっています(上に延びていないんだなぁ)。
また、主要街道沿いにあった常夜灯もここにありました。
It is a hillside of 68 ri (267 km) from Nihonbashi. It happened to be in the post town. However, there is no mound now, and barely a pine tree lies (it doesn't extend to the top).
There was also a night light along the main road.

文化12(1815)年造立の新町常夜燈もある。
道路を隔てて反対側にはベンチもあり小休止が可能。
Maisaka Ichirizuka (currently written as Maisaka, but was Maisaka in the Edo period) is the 68th Ichirizuka (about 267km) from Edo Nihonbashi.
There is also a new town nightlight built in 1815.
There is also a bench on the other side of the road so you can take a short break.
