Go on a weekday!!! I loved this experience! It was a little difficult to get here (train then bus) and everything is in Japanese but the workers are super friendly. They hire disabled persons here. The squirrels do bite so wear the gloves and mitten. You might want to wear the coat because your clothes could get dirty. Only 400¥/ person. I will come back!

if you love squirrels (i'm biased, i like them) this is a great place. The surrounding parks, gardens and lakes are very pretty. When we went, the squirrel enclosure was packed, but there were more than enough squirrels to go around.

We loved it! We went during the weekday and was able to take care of the free parking at the nearby park, as well as enjoy the park without many other people or children. The entrance fee (see below) is low, but they charge 100 yen per dish/package to feed the animals in the park. The outer area of the park you are able to feed rabbits, and guinea pigs and there are a variety of different squirrels and other animals on display. The center of the park features the squirrel feeding. It's only one variety of squirrel (see pictures) but there are so many of them. There is also a gigantic land tortoise that roams around in the squirrel area. I also noticed that they hired a lot of people with special needs. They smiled at the kids and really seemed to enjoy their jobs selling the animal foods, passing out feeding mittens, and manning the doorways. It was very nice experience. Our kids really enjoyed themselves and we enjoyed seeing them experience something completely new. We will definitely be back again. Very cute little garden with loads of squirrels! Nothing fancy, just lots of cute little squirrels running and jumping around. You can buy food and feed it to them. It’s a little complicated to get there - I went to Machida station and took a bus. There’s a nice little park not too far away, too, so when you’re done with the squirrel garden you can walk there and take a stroll.

I recommend visitors should go! It is a small park and the entrance fee for adults is 400 yen. You can buy small bowls of carrots and lettuce to feed guinea pigs, rabbits. And best of all, you can buy seed and feed squirrels! Squirrels are not afraid of you. There is another area in the park where u can see a neighborhood of squirrels! There are small wooden houses painted by school children.

Like everything in japan that is geared towards younger kids…there were way too many young adults there than there should be. My six year old was getting a bit upset when they would push in front of him to feed the squirrels. But he loved feeding the marmots

The park is located far away from Machida station, you have to catch a bus. The entry fee is 400yen and the park is not so huge, but that will do. The squirrels viewing area is very spacious and you can try feeding the squirrels by buying gloves and squirrel food. Apart from that the park has Guinea pig, reptiles and birds etc. A shop is available inside especially for buying squirrel and various other animal toys, so thats it if you like this review please give like.
