Osaka has a few world class cake/confectionary shops but almost all of them offer take out only. Actually, Le Pinot was the same until they opened a cafe next door.
This is the order of operation
1. To to the cafe, and get a seat.
2. Go next door to the cake shop and choose your cake of choice.
3. Go back to the cafe and order your drink.
4. Your drink and cake will be served and enjoy.
The cafe itself is modern and lovely with comfortable and stylish tables and chairs. I recommend the place even if it's just for coffee or tea.
Note - you can use your credit card at the cake shop, but the cafe DOES NOT take credit cards.
Note 2 - if you add the cafe as a friend to your LINE app, you get a 5% discount on your bill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our accomodation was very close to the location, so we used to have breakfast (sometime also brunch) every day there. Very tasty French toasts, great sandwiches and incredible cakes. Staff is always very nice. Recommended!
